E-waste is being increasingly viewed as a global issue. Instead of the waste getting reduced, it is only growing further since we are changing our devices so often. Furthermore, it is highly unlikely that the trend will change in the near future since the population is increasing and more people own mobile phones these days. Unless some extreme steps are taken, electronic waste will become very difficult to deal with. Many organizations today are working towards lessening the quantum of electronic waste, in order to protect the environment and even recoup the rare electronic components which get trashed away in landfills.

The important metals contained in mobile phones are becoming rarer. You can help towards this cause by recycling your cell phone and saving these products from getting dumped in landfills. You will not only help the environment by doing so, but also assist the organizations in making their task easier by not having to hunt for cell phones in the rubbish.

Recycling of mobile phones is nothing but simple and will help to a great extent in resolving the issue of landfills and e-waste. Just go online and search for mobile phone recycling sites. Then enter the details of which cell phone you wish to recycle and you will get paid for sending the device to the recycling centre. The recycling company does the rest of the work. The additional income you receive can be used to buy a new phone or something else.

In order to recycle your mobile phone safely, you do not really have to smash the old phone. All you need to be sure about is the right cell phone recycling centre. Once you have chosen a place you can trust, do not worry about thieves stealing or misusing information. You can just remove your SIM from the old iPad or phone or take out the hard drive from your computer.

It is just fine to proceed with recycling as long as all saved information is wiped out completely from your old mobile phone or the computer. It is always better if the device is not in a working condition when it goes to any recycling centre since the data cannot be misused. However, if you are looking to get more value out of your old electronics, it is a better idea to sell a working device.

All working electronics that come for recycling and eventual resale have to first undergo an extensive refurbishment process. The refurbishment project takes out all parts that store information in these mobile phones or electronic devices. It also involves setting the phone back to its default factory settings, which removes all passwords as well as the stored data too. Even you can play safe by deleting all information before shipping out the old device or restoring its default settings.

Nowadays, most of the data is stored on the SIM cards that can be removed, unless the handsets are over five years old and do not contain SIMs.

Are you also one of those who feel that a new cell phone is out on the shelves almost every day? Well, you are not the only one. Considering there are so many different manufacturers in the market, one is relatively close.

This also implies that you may wish to trade in any of your old mobile phones, which is about a year or two old for something more recent. That requires a certain level of preparation towards mobile phone recycling. You must start looking out early at the new cell phones coming on the shelves so that you can plan to recycle the old mobile phone.

It is also worth mentioning that old phones which are SIM-free cannot be turned in for resale, hence one will fetch much lesser from the cell phone recycling centre. One of the important conditions for resale is that the cell phone recycling companies wipe all the data and make the phone ready for the new SIM card. They do pay a little, of course, for SIM-free models, as donation of such phones at least helps them recover some precious metals, which can be used in manufacturing of new electronics including cell phones.

It is extremely important to protect the data, so one must remove any old SIM and wipe all data so that the phone’s storage becomes as good as new. If some data does get left behind, then the recycler will have no choice but to dump it. Isn’t it better to be safe than repent later?

A study was conducted recently to find out which of the mobile phones are recycled most commonly. The results revealed that Apple iPhones rank number one and their 3GS as well as 4 versions are the top two mobile phones getting recycled the most. The iPhone 3GS version can easily fetch you around £104 from recycling while the 4 version can get you about £243.

Next on the rank of most recycled phones is the Blackberry Curve fetching around £52. The amounts mentioned here are only an indication of the approximate average the old mobile phone could get in the most common mobile phone recycling centres. The amount also depends on the condition of the phone. In other words, if the phone is in an excellent condition, it could gain a little higher too whereas a phone which is out of order will probably get you just a few pounds. Even the Apple 3G ranked high on the list of most recycled phones fetching roughly £60 to its consumers.

To name the other phones on this list, were Blackberry Bold, Curve 8900, Touch, HTC Desire, HTC Wildfire and Samsung Galaxy. Most of these phones would earn you around £50, though some centres may even give you £100 as a reward for recycling. It makes sense to know these amounts not only if you wish to recycle your old phone, but also if you have an interest in purchasing a recycled phone. And of course, one must be aware about what the competition is offering too.

In many places including Chennai, you will notice some individuals looking through the recycle bins for cell phones. The recycled trash or any other type of rubbish is sent to China with a sole purpose of having individuals to ensure that no valuable material such as cell phones is lost in trash bins. Plenty of goods get recycled every year and have the potential of being re-used under the right circumstances especially after the refurbishment process.

Instead of sending your old mobile phones as well as other electronic items to a different country, you can always solve the issue of excessive waste by managing it well in your own country. A big fact related to cell phones which is highly ignored is that one can fetch some money upon recycling mobile phones. An old cell phone will easily earn you from ten to two hundred pounds. Depending upon the model of the phone and its condition, the amount one can earn from it will vary. By trying to recycle, one will at least get an idea of the phone’s real worth.

Even if the old phone does not fetch much during the process of recycling, it is always a good idea to engage in recycling to preserve our precious earth. The more scrap we dump in landfills every year, the more damage we are doing to our earth and contributing to global warming. You can do your bit by being greener and recycling products through proper centres which offer money for your old phones.

The old electronic gadgets and mobile phones can continue to be of great use even after they have lived out their lifespan and ceased to be of any use to you.

The old electronic gadgets and mobile phones can continue to be of great use even after they have lived out their lifespan and ceased to be of any use to you. Don’t allow such old mobile phones to gather dust in some small corner, cabinet or drawer of your home. Rather make use of mobile phone recycling and have them earn some quick cash for you. The money you can earn from your old mobile phones is dependent on couple of important factors. The first factor is if the old mobile phone can be easily resold in the marketplace without any refurbishment. The second factor is if it will have to be sent to a recycling plant instead where it will be taken apart for its important parts. An old mobile phone can continue to offer value despite being in nonworking condition, because of its gold, palladium and nickel content. All these rare elements can actually be melted back into their natural form and used afresh.
Some of the online and off-line mobile phone recycling companies will even offer you £75-£115 for your old mobile phone. Normally, the higher prices are reserved for new generation smart phones that are in working condition. Such phones can be resold immediately after dumping their data and putting in a new SIM card into them. Nevertheless, you can still earn some easy cash even if your old phone is not in working condition. Therefore, go ahead and benefit from mobile phone recycling now.

The market is buzzing with the third generation Apple iPad. If you desire one for yourself but do not have the funds yet, this is the perfect time for you to consider recycling of iPads.

iPad recycling is sure to fetch you with more funds so you can spend on the newer version. Another thing of great concern is the fact that Apple is now trying to make its iPad much thinner and lighter compared to before. That means a lot of its size is due to the bigger battery. If the company decides to dump those batteries for newer ones, it could harm the environment to a great extent. The importance of iPad recycling could not be emphasized more. All the products which can be removed from iPads during its recycling will then be utilized towards making new electronic devices. With Apple’s new initiative of creating green products, you too look for new ways of going green by recycling all your electronics from mobile phones to iPads.

Recycling encompasses all categories of recycling. It is not only simpler but also more beneficial to recycle electronic items than to discard them and spoil the environment. What acts as a bonus for you to recycle more is the fact that one earns cash from the process. Recycle not only your mobile phones, but also your iPads, laptops, televisions and other electronic devices.

If you wish to upgrade to the latest model of iPad, then iPad 2 is surely one of the important products to be turned in for recycling.

The new version of iPad was released lately. For many it implies that they will now have to contend with an older model, unless of course they upgrade. A large number of people feel all right about the old versions and use them until they are no longer usable, while many other don’t mind even queueing up to buy a new electronic gadget as soon as it hits the shelves. Regardless of the category you are in, this is the right time to think about what to do with your old iPad. IPad recycling will soon become the next big thing for many people as it will allow them to earn some handsome cash, which can be used towards their new purchase.

Platinum, Gold and many other precious metals are utilised for manufacturing of mobile phones and iPad’s. All these materials are extracted from them and sent to places such as China and Taiwan where they are used for production of brand new gadgets. You can opt for iPad recycling and protect the Earth just like you do with the help of mobile phone recycling.

The next generation iPad is now available in the marketplace and has apparently taken care of all the problems and glitches associated with the older versions. However, it too has many bells and whistles, especially with regard to its operating system and applications. IPad recycling makes tremendous sense if you are also planning to upgrade. Why not earn some easy money and use it towards the purchase of the new model.

Everyone should consider recycling of mobile phones as important and not just individual people. Whether the mobile device is being used for work or for personal use, it indeed is a better thing to consider such devices for recycling. What would you generally do if your work mobile phone were broken? Do you simply toss it away and just get an apt replacement? If the answer to the above question is a yes, then I would highly suggest mobile phone recycling to you, as it undoubtedly offers numerous advantages.

If you are in a business, mobile phone recycling will definitely affect how consumers look at you. Since many schemes for recycling exist, they will be highly disappointed if they get to know that you tossed away a damaged phone. The money received from recycling is definitely not what one is after in such cases but the larger interest of making business finances slightly better is surely worth considering. The extra cash received from recycling can help in paying off for a new business phone or any other expenses.

You cannot avoid recycling of mobile phones simply because you own or run a business with cell phones. You could also try to get your consumers’ attention towards mobile phone recycling by stating that you send all phones for recycling as soon as they are replaced for the employees. Not only will this show you in a positive light, but also help save the earth by focussing on business mobile phone recycling too.

A survey was conducted recently in Norway to find out the number of old mobile phones dumped in landfills or lying around in people’s homes. It revealed that at least 8 million old mobile phones are yet to go through mobile phone recycling. The study only focused on Norway but it is a concerning issue for the United Kingdom too.

It highlights the general trend throughout the world that people are still throwing their old mobile phones in landfills and are not opting for mobile phone recycling. UK residents buy millions of new mobile phones per year. Only a small proportion of those mobile phones ever make it through a mobile phone recycling program.

Despite such programs offering money in exchange for old phones, it is not proving enough of an incentive. Many times it is people’s ignorance and laziness that is the culprit. Nevertheless, the fact remains that mobile phone recycling is not at the forefront of people’s minds and phones are indeed being dumped in landfills.

Dumping mobile phones in landfills is not only a loss from a monetary angle but also a loss from the perspective of materials contained in them. It is a well-known fact that mobile phones are made up of rare minerals such as nickel, gold, copper and palladium. All these minerals are already in short supply and losing them to landfills is an even greater loss. What’s more, dumping these materials can also result in issues such as contamination of water supplies.
